Our client, a global personal care company is looking to engage with a Consultant- Data Scientist.
Forecasting tool O9- utilizes technology AI driven; Consultant should understand AI, understand other models deployed, hands on exp on AI, understands AI codes, worked on feature engineering, modelling of forecast - around 6 to 9 months. Ideal candidate would have worked with any forecasting tool with AI engine, predictive tech driven by AI.
Key responsibilities:
1. To Continuously develop, deploy & test variety of models for demand sensing,
forecasting & optimization in O9
2. Use latest advancements in AI/ML to better the results of the models in O9
3. Work collaboratively with Demand Planners, IT, O9 Team, Data Owners to
improve results of the tool
4. Own the results and resolve the queries from Demand Planners or any other
stakeholder around the modelling, features or any aspect of results
5. Incorporate the feedback and re-run the models with new or improved
features to improve the results
6. Share and discuss the KPIs with the relevant stakeholders
7. Set clear strategy to improve the results of the catalogue or part of business
which is not accurately predicted through O9
8. To develop reports and dashboards as per requirements from Demand Planners
9. To extract data from multiple sources, use machine learning tools to organize
data, process, clean, and validate the data, analyze the data for information
and patterns, develop prediction systems, present the data in a clear manner,
and propose solutions and strategies to improve the forecasting results in a
short and long horizon
10. Add more relevant features and delete redundant ones from the models
11. To ensure the accuracy of data coming from sour
12. Improvement in the KPIs like Forecast Accuracy, Bias, Value Add, Speed etc
13. Explain ability of the results & its association with demand drivers/features

Duration- 6 to 9 months
1. 10+ years of experience in the field of Data Science & Analytics
2. Strong programming skills & experience in using Python/R
3. Understanding of Supply Chain concepts
4. Proficient in handling and processing large amounts of data
5. Knowledge of statistical & machine learning algorithms
6. Experience in time series forecasting in scale using heuristic based hierarchical, best-fit models using algorithms like exponential smoothing, ARIMA, prophet and custom parameter tuning
7. Experience in building scalable ML frameworks for demand sensing including
Identifying and collecting relevant input data, feature engineering, tuning and
testing.
8. Experience in applied analytical methods in the field of Supply chain and
planning, like demand planning, demand sensing etc.
9. Strong presentation and communications skills with the ability to communicate
complex analytical or technical concepts to audiences with a limited analytical
or technical background

0. Masters Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics,
Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations, or related field.
