Assignment Details

Our client, a leading global mining organization is looking for a Senior Change & Internal Communications Consultant to:

- Strategize change communications and advise the Project Committee and senior leaders for the project you are being assigned to
- Prepare a change management framework plan that helps maximize employee awareness and adoption while reducing resistance to change
- Coach/advise managers and supervisors and support them through the course of the project start-to-finish
- Help build a structured approach to transition individuals, teams and leaders from where we are today to where we want to be leading to improved and sustainable solutions/results
- Draft communications materials, including employee communications, key messages for leaders, project updates
- Provide communications support to internal projects focused on streamlining and systemising processes.
- Review the existing internal channels (newsletters, social media, global channels) and provide recommendations on where improvements can be made to increase employee engagement

Skills Required

To be successfully considered for this role, you will need to have:
- University degree in Mass Communication/Journalism, Business Management, Organizational Behaviour and/or Project Management relevant to this position and scope of work
- 6+ years of communications experience with demonstrated ability in a change management projects
- Effective influencing skills when engaging with senior leaders internally.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams across countries, functions and hierarchies, while delivering quality results within tight deadlines
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop inspiring, cohesive messages that change perception, inspire action and reinforce culture
- Experience of establishing and driving a multi-channel communications strategy, including preparation and management of communication materials
- Ability to own and manage the stakeholder engagement process and plan, ensuring key stakeholders are effectively briefed and engaged and PMO and project leads are supported in managing their relationships with consistent messaging
- Experience of working in global companies and cross-cultural teams
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to collaborate well in teams
- Ability to prioritise and organise concurrent projects under tight timeframes
