Company Details

An MSDF funded Ed-tech start up, operates 73 learning centres and has school partners in 11 states in India. We offer classroom courses as well as online training programs for foundations (Class VIII-X) along with IIT JEE and NEET classes for students.

Assignment Details

An MSDF funded Ed-tech start up, is looking for a Senior Sales Consultant to support their sales team for a short term engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate the overall B2C sales strategy for different offline channels and identify whats working and what needs attention - assess trends over time, by channel and region to identify learnings
2. Refine the overall sales strategy as needed to achieve the targets set, based on discussions with the CEO and senior management
3. Review roles and structures across the sales organisation (approx 35-40 person sales function) and identify changes needed if any
4. Design and implement targeted approaches to build sales capability, improve the productivity of the team
5. Work with the marketing team to refine the communications strategy to provide the support needed by the sales team
6. Develop new sales aids and materials needed to support the sales team
7. Identify new opportunities to drive performance (growth, market share expansion) across markets - events, partnerships
8. Establish an effective tracking mechanism to review perforrmance along key metrics

Skills Required

1. Prior experience in managing large sales teams (50-100 people +) is a must
2. Experience in the the B2C and/or Education sectors will be a plus
3. Understanding Offline sales strategies as well as hands on experience in handling various marketing & distribution channels
4. Strong, demonstrated people management skills
5. Ability to innovate and develop strategy as well as lead practical day-to-day execution
