Our client, an international university press and assessment, is in a rapid expansion phase to enter into EdTech service offerings and scale up their existing services by leveraging their capabilities and competencies. To fuel all this they're looking for a Business Research Analyst for conducting market research for various blue-sky opportunities and infer insights from the research to define their market entry strategy. This Primary research is expected to cover needs analysis with the target
segment, validate their proposition with more insights to ultimately do the following:
▪ Validate and refine need, target customer segments, and our value proposition and the recommended target sectors.
▪ Define competition landscape with price points and their value proposition
▪ Technology trends over the last year that are critical for the success of the programs.
▪ Critical stakeholders in the ecosystem
▪ Challenges and barriers
▪ Business model with Revenue projections/business plan:
a. Carve out the market opportunity segments and provide us with key market
insights including market size and potential and price point and recommended niche.
b. Build the 3 - year Business case/ revenue projections based on the research
for the company.
▪ The research analyst is expected to assume significant responsibilities and independently lead the primary research.
▪ Interact with the senior leadership of the organization and lay down the strategic priorities. Deliver insights to the leadership team that helps drive decision-making on the blue-sky opportunities such as go-to-market approach and market entry initiatives to drive B2B/B2C/B2G sales for education products.
▪ Develop complete execution plans that incorporate sound contingency, risk assessments and drive timely execution.
1. Experience with high execution and metric orientation.
2. Able to identify a customer need based on field observations.
3. Financial modeling (must be comfortable with Excel).
4. Understanding of market research techniques and ability to draw conclusions from the data.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to summarize complex information in a clear and concise manner.
6. Influence management with customers and sales agents.
7. Negotiation & networking skills.
