Assignment Details

Our client is a leading a boutique Private Equity Fund in Chennai with a successful track record investing in small and medium sized businesses. Fund has a strong hypothesis on the consumption opportunity that exists in the Food and Grocery space in India and expects to build out an integrated business leveraging existing investments. Consulting engagement is to create the strategy for the Food vertical, identify the business model, and propose a business plan along with capital outlay for the first five years. They are therefore looking for a couple of strategy consultants to help them support them in:

- Primary and secondary research needed to carry out opportunity assessment.
- Scope and assess the market size, growth opportunities, identify current and future market trends, competition and risks
- Work with the management team to synthesize the business model choices
- Support on the go-to - market strategies and scale up plans for the fist 12-18 months
- Coordinate on the building of business and financial model

The team will be a supported by a senior strategy consultant who will synthesize and formulate the business model basis the findings and research

Skills Required

1. Consulting experience with a top tier international management consulting firm is a must
2. Comfort with doing hands-on research & data analysis
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to summarize complex information in a clear and concise manner
4. Strong problem solving and analytical skills required
5. Experience along food and grocery value chain (manufacturing, supply chain, and retail) would be a plus
