At SeniorWorld, the editor’s role is to create happy readers, users and customers while maximizing revenue.
Your role would be to create/manage creation of interesting & appealing content for SeniorWorld across various topics. Your work would entail the following responsibilities:
* Develop editorial policies, copyright, and best practices
* Plan the editorial content for SeniorWorld.in in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Web development team and designers
* Manage SeniorWorld.in Web content, blogs, newsletters, videos and any special projects. Have an over-arching view on the content that goes on seniorworld in Social Media
* Create and manage a network of freelance writers, bloggers and videographers, interact regularly with them, commission articles to them and edit their entries according to SeniorWorld.in policies
* Incorporate website best practices in terms of user experience
* Drive traffic to SeniorWorld.in & email subscription
* Initiate and maintain relationships with numerous senior citizen related websites
Skills Required
* Strongly associate with the cause of improving Seniors’ lifestyle
* Possess excellent communication skills
* Have at least 4-5 years of experience in writing (preferably professional copywriting) and online editing
* Be ready to work in a challenging start-up environment
* Have a natural flair for writing and more importantly must enjoy writing
* Be well organised, able to meet strict deadlines, and show meticulous work standards.
* Have excellent (online) research and organisational skills
* Be able to work independently as well as a team and community member
* Have a great eye for detail
* Be able to multitask and prioritise work schedules
Preferred if you have (not must-have):
* A Degree in Journalism, Communications, PR, Advertising or English from a reputed college
* Extensive experience in running and maintaining professional blogs
* Organic marketing experience with working knowledge of content management systems and search engines.
* Have exposure to working in digital and/or print media
