Assignment Details

India is fast emerging as one of the strongest growth stories among emerging economies. The Indian Internet market, which was valued at around $30B in 2014, is expected to witness more than a 10 fold growth in the next 5 years. India is the only other country other the US and China which has companies that feature in the list of top ten highest valued privately held companies in the world (a club that includes firms like Uber & AirBnB). However, the industry is severely constrained by the lack of availability of high quality, insightful research.
We are looking to publish deep research on segments of the internet economy in the form of thematic whitepapers.
A typical storyboard would cover:
- Market definition & taxonomy for the segment
- Global market size, split by category, key players, business models
- Key drivers for global market growth
- Case for India (critical differences in the Indian context & how these impact potential for growth in India)
- Size of the Indian market, split by category & growth projections
- Indian market landscape (key players, performance, business models)
- Framework for assessing successful business models
- Opportunities & challenges for Indian players

Skills Required

- Ex top tier consultant with 5+ years of experience
- Exposure to the consumer tech space would be a big plus
- Strong data analysis and report-writing skills
- Comfort with doing hands-on research & data analysis
- Comfort with speaking to industry experts to validate hypotheses & points of view as needed
