I have spent around twenty five successful years as a management consultant and adviser with leading global firms and in diverse sectors that include finance, technology, consumer products, and government. I hold an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) and Bachelor in Engineering degree from the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). I have worked for global organizations in leadership roles such as Senior Consultant at Tata Consultancy Services, Senior Manager at Accenture, Director at Microsoft, and Principal Consultant at the National Institute of Smart Government (NISG).

Until recently, I was a Senior Program Officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation responsible for promoting the use of information technology in public health. I was responsible for working with the government and other stakeholders on optimizing public health services using ICT. My work here leveraged my core expertise in ICT.
As Principal Consultant, I had hands-on experience in working closely with the government on programs of national importance, and introducing ICT policies and practices. Of special importance were ICT strategy, government enterprise architecture, e-governance capability building, and service delivery assessment. I am on a central panel of experts that reviews and helps draft various e-governance policy initiatives in various areas of e-governance.
As a senior executive in Microsoft (India), I had end-to-end responsibility for the P&L of the Microsoft Services division. My job included providing strategic advice to customers on ICT, building enterprise capabilities, meeting revenue and profit targets, and handling a team of consultants.
My mandate was to work with the firm’s global customers in developing their ICT strategies. Clients included Wells Fargo and Barclays Bank, where I worked in close tandem with their senior leadership to develop their IT plans, make key technology investment decisions, and even handhold their internal teams through some critical IT projects.
I handled the company’s domestic consulting practice responsible for providing IT consulting services to Indian organizations in the private and public sector. Customers and stakeholders included government departments and public sector companies in areas like health, urban development, development financing, and defence as well as many premier private sector companies.
