Mission/ Core purpose of the Assignment
The Freelance Contractor will provide strategic & commercial leadership, functional and operational insight and analysis related to a commercial viability study.
The viability study is with reference to a Internet Service Provider (ISP) located within Africa (excl. RSA).
The study will focus on the viability relating to FTTH (last mile / from curb) in conjunction with a partnership / investment with a local license holder / operator.

Assess / advise in strategy for a successful implementation.
Commercial Strategy / Transaction Structure proposal
Legal, Regulatory, Risk Assessment and proposed Strategy
Technical Assessment and proposed Strategy
Financial Assessment and proposed Strategy
Products to market Assessment and proposed Strategy
Perform, in conjunction with the employer
Market assessment / Market sizing / Market opportunities / Most relevant products to market
Viability assessment / Feasibility Study
Freelance Contractor Qualifications
Relevant industry qualifications
> 5 yrs. experience in working for ICT Consulting Companies
> 2 yrs. experience in FTTH Consulting
Working in Africa experience required
Outcomes
Detailed Feasibility Study Report and/or a market assessment with Recommendations in PowerPoint using the Employers templates
Excel supporting document
Periodic update sessions with Employer (Presentation, Questions and Answers)
Presentation to the Employer in person (Questions and Answers)
Duration
Estimated duration for the assignment would be 1 month. Extensions thereto would be negotiated if required.
Possible travel to the designated country and employer head office (in Africa)
Costs and billing
Travel to be paid for by the employer
Contractor to invoice the employer on a monthly basis – payment within 30 days of invoice
