Assignment Details

Our client, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to solving health and social problems is looking to engage with a consultant. They are launching new market offerings and are looking for a Consultant who can help execute aggressive business development goals.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA's)
1. Landscaping
- Identify new opportunities based on the organization's differentiators, capabilities,
and overarching strategy
- Lead new donor/client generation and identification through leveraging existing
relationships and fostering new connections and networks
- Build and maintain a pipeline of high quality opportunities in both domestic and
global space with a variety of clients including private sector healthcare,
foundations, USAID, and other clients
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate specific business opportunities
and market trends

2. Build and execute business development machinery including marketing
materials, systems, and processes
- Implement and oversee management of technology platforms in support of
business development programs and initiatives, e.g. CRM platform
- Track contacts, communications, and outreach with prospects and potential clients
and funders; manage follow ups effectively
- Oversee continuous improvement of proposal management processes, tools, and
templates
- Work with teams to develop marketing material including case studies, pitch decks,
and capabilities statements

3. Oversee proposal development and execution
- Lead "must-win" proposal opportunities, providing strategic, tactical, and
operational support to senior leadership and program teams
- Manage full-cycle proposal process to ensure submission of high quality,
compliant, and competitive proposals while ensuring strict adherence to deadlines
- Work in tandem with program teams to tell the organization's story through
proposal and presentation materials
- Develop content and write proposals, collating information from the team
- Work with the finance team to develop competitive pricing proposals

Project will be for a duration of 6 months (extendable), requiring full time capacity

Skills Required

- A minimum of 7+ years in a business development role, with familiarity to the Healthcare sector
- Strong management skills with a track record of using these skills to generate new business
- Strong relationships across global health sector and ability to leverage relationships to generate partnerships and new opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and proven ability to write for different formats, platforms and audiences including writing technical proposal and developing pitch decks
- Passionate about data and demonstrated ability to convert data insights into simple stories using diverse set of mediums (written, visual)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and successfully meet deadlines while quickly producing high quality work
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively in a matrixed, “start-up like environment” and adjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines and last minute requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
- Passion for health, global development, and tech
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
- 1-2+ years from a medium to large consulting firm experience is preferred
