Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) have been funding one of the largest health programs in India for more than half a decade - the Ananya program. Operating across 38 districts in Bihar with the primary goal of improving family health outcomes state-wide. The Gates Foundation, Stanford University (SU) and George Washington University (GWU) are now seeking a pragmatic project evaluation team to undertake a broad evaluation of the effectiveness of the Ananya program.
The evaluation research work will employ a mixed quantitative and qualitative methods approach to analyze existing data sets, dialogue with implementers and evaluators, and share the knowledge and data gained from the Ananya program. Stanford University in partnership with the Indian based project evaluation team will conduct this analysis to disseminate learning from Ananya to inform the scale-up of national and global family health (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and Nutrition, RMNCHN) interventions. They now require the role of a Consultant- Evaluation of Family Healthcare Program
1) Plan, organize, and conduct research, develop project plans to outline research procedures to be followed.
2) Plan schedule and ensure availability of the required resources
3) Coordinate and manage work of the Analysts ensuring timely completion
4) Conduct research to collect, record, analyze, and evaluate facts
5) Prepare progress reports, other articles, reports, and presentations
Skills Required
Management Consultant with familiarity of family health sector in India
Knowledge of Indian legal requirements for human research subjects
Excellent problem solving/diagnostic ability
Good communication skills amongst diverse stakeholders, disciplined integrity of research & data gathering
Preferably some knowledge of the regions involved
