Assignment Details
We have recently launched our foods franchise in India and have an ambition to build a scaled food business in the country and are keen to explore the opportunities that the market has to offer. We have also recently acquired a food manufacturer in India and the aim is build off the synergy between the acquired capabilities with the opportunity that the Indian CPG market offers and with emerging trends in our domain.
We are looking to engage a consultant who can work with us to project manage this critical initiative and also help develop a business case for the India Foods business which we will present to the global leadership team for approval. The project will entail the following:
1 Assessment of the market opportunity and emerging trends in the food business
2 Identification of the right product basket for India based on the opportunity and our skills
3. Develop a detailed product launch strategy for the high priority segments
4. Define the proposition for the product/s – clearly what it stands for and why would the consumer be willing to buy it
5. The launch plan –given the nature of product / category – a brief plan of what should be the RTM ambition and landscape in which the product can play in
6 Help develop the 3 -5 year business projections for the product – Top line and expected investments. A brief P&L detailing the gross margins of the business should also be a part of the proposal
7 Tight project and stakeholder management during the initiative to ensure milestones are met and the working team gets adequate input and buy in from the operating teams and senior management.
The Consultant will work closely with a Marketing Expert who we expect to do the heavy lifting on items 2 - 5 while the Project Management consultant will drive key analytics, financial projections and support overall project management.
This project is based out of Gurgaon.
Skills Required
Strong experience in developing strategies and business cases
Strong experience of project management and engaging with senior stakeholders
Experience in financial modeling and building well structured business plans and financial projections
Knowledge of the consumer and foods space in India will be a definite plus
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication
