Assignment Details

Our client is an international, nonprofit global health organisation and are looking to engage with an Senior Public health expert who will be working will junior public health expert and help them in developing digital tools for building a robust mechanism in the public health administration.

Key Responsibilities :-
i. Overall Management of technical Digital software support at NCDC and
its branches, including integrated data surveillance of IHIP with One
health, AMR, Centre for Climate Change.

ii. Provide technical assistance to states for Health Systems strengthening
and information management through digital transformation.

iii. Lead review and analysis of published and grey literature and data
available through various sources on a periodic basis, including National /
State / District level survey, HMIS, Sustainable Development Goal
indicators and Universal Health Coverage indicators.

iv. Lead regular analysis of data system and establish protocol to share
records with the Team Lead and NCDC.

v. Lead review and analysis of available data to keep divisions abreast of
latest findings on key digital health systems data and studies including
SDG and UHC indicators.

vi. Lead the interpretation of information obtained from compiled data and
reporting their findings to the relevant divisions.

vii. Lead development of indicators / templates of reports / dash boards /
score cards as per the requirement of NCDC and MoHFW.

viii. Lead in activities pertaining to data collation and analysis, Coordinate with
NCDC and MoHFW.

ix. Undertake supportive supervision and concurrent monitoring initiatives including field monitoring on a periodic basis.

x. Identify best practices and innovations within states and support in
documentation and replication of identified practices.

xi. To assist in strengthening the governance framework and the institutional
capacity of NCDC and its branches.

xii. Strengthening of IHIP platform and integration of data of One Health,
LIMS, and Climate Change surveillance platforms with IHIP to facilitate
the data analysis.

xiii. To enable and facilitate Interoperability by developing uniform/ common
data standards across the various digital health portals which would
empower the decision makers with evidence-based policy feedback
systems.

xiv. To support operationalisation and integration of LIMS with IHIP.

xv. To facilitate NCDC to become a Regional Hub for Genomic surveillance
in the South Asian region by strengthening the capacity of Genomic
surveillance systems under IDSP.

xvi. Formulate a consultative joint stakeholder driven policy for One health
and assist in strengthening of One Health surveillance mechanism.

xvii. To support the strengthening the policy framework for surveillance,
operational research, capacity building related to Centre for
Environmental & Occupational Health, Climate Change & Health.

xviii. To facilitate the establishment of Environment Health Cell in State (UTs)
health department for monitoring, supervision and evaluation tool for
climate sensitive diseases.

Skills Required

- Have a master’s or PhD degree in public health, health and hospital management, health policy, health administration, business administration.
- 10 years of experience in health systems strengthening and minimum of five years of experience of working with government or international organisations in area of health system strengthening and health information technology.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, ability to work in a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross cultural communication skills.
- Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills, and a good network of contacts with key stakeholders.
