Assignment Details

Our client is looking for a Senior Supply Chain expert who can bring deep expertise to the table specifically pertaining to network planning, warehouse management, transportation operations management and vendor management.

Responsibilities include:
• Pan-India responsibility for the end to end supply chain from order through project completion
• Evaluate network design and advise on the same
• Oversee warehouse and purchasing resource management and optimization across the pan-India locations
• Negotiate optimum transportation/fleet and shipping options, and continuously benchmark company needs to maintain best performance and pricing
• Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting
• Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to identify and evaluate opportunities for supply chain efficiency and cost reduction.

The consultant would be required to work on-site in Mumbai for the entire duration of the project.

Skills Required

• Prior experience with a major express logistics/third-party logistics firm would be a huge plus
• Strong experience with different warehouse management systems & capabilities, as well as logistics footprint & network optimization
• Extensive experience of managing transportation operations including fleet management
• Exceptional vendor management skills
