Our client, a top tier management consulting firm is supporting an automotive client to set up an e-commerce platform for providing auto spares to businesses. They're looking to engage with a Category Manager, having exhaustive experience within the e-commerce industry to help drive this initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting a diagnosis of the current establishment scenario of the client and the various products, their offerings
2. Work in close coordination with the team to understand the dynamics of the category products- insights given the current market conditions
3. Determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competition and customer buying habits
4. Develop exhaustive strategies for the category to create a buzz in the market, drive sales and achieve targets
5. Define key metrics to regularly track products' performance and sales
6. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop robust plans and promotional materials to help increase sales
7. De-bottleneck issues and challenges that may arise during the course of time in operations and functioning
Note: This project will require remote support for a duration of 6 months.
1. Extensive, first hand experience as a category manager in the E-Commerce industry is a must
2. Experience in handling auto parts will be a plus, though not mandatory
3. Ability to drive a team and work in a cross functional environment
4. Stakeholder management
5. Strategic and creative thinking to get the best results for the category
6. Excellent planning and organising skills
