Assignment Details

Our client, a leading multinational automotive corporation, is looking to engage with a data engineer who can work closely with their systems architects, data
scientists, and analysts and help them direct the flow of data within the pipeline and ensure consistency of data delivery and utilization across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Work closely with other data and analytics team members to optimize the data systems and pipeline architecture
2. Design and build the infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of sources
3. Build data and analytics tools that will offer deeper insight into the pipeline, allowing for critical discoveries surrounding key performance indicators and customer activity
4. Deploy dockers, Kubernetes based end-end application development on Azure and on-prem big data clusters

Skills Required

- Experience working with and extracting value from large, disconnected and/or unstructured(semi-structured) datasets such as time series, videos, sensor data
- Demonstrated ability to build processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
- Experience with API Creation and Management (REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Experience in Service-oriented architecture
- Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Experience with the following tools and technologies:
- Hadoop, Spark, Kafka,
- Relational SQL and NoSQL databases
- Object-oriented/object function scripting in Python
