We are seeking a creative, talented and knowledgeable designer capable of producing stunning, user-centric web interfaces.
Responsibilities:
1) Overall responsibility for understanding the product requirement and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces. 2) Engages with the product team and developers to seek a deeper appreciation of the business problem/goals. 3) Develops understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research (user feedbacks, traffic data). Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios. 4) Prepares low fidelity prototypes of sites/features (ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and brain storming. 5) Capable of gauging technical feasibility of the prototype. 6) Presents high fidelity designs/mock-ups for review/iteration/approval. 7) Able to explain his/her design philosophy verbally and in writing.
Skills/Competencies (Mandatory)
1) Design Tools: Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks/Axure etc..
2) Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.
3) Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time.
Desired Experience
1) Formal industry/professional experience as a web/mobile designer will be preferable. Solid portfolio demonstrating design savvy.
2) Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography.
3) Strong understanding of mobile platforms, particularly iOS and Android.
4) Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries.
5) Candidate must absolutely be in sync with recent design standards and trends.
6) Formal education in interaction design (Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma) is a definite plus.
